McIlroy & King
Communications provides top credentials in media management. Julie McIlroy
leads the communication planning side of the company. Julie King runs media
buying operations. However, the two disciplines are closely integrated and
work hand in hand throughout the entire planning and buying process.

McIlroy first
worked at MBS, V& B and Grey before joining J. Walter Thompson in
1985.There, she rose to the position of Vice President-Director of Broadcast
Buying and later, Vice-President-Director of Communication Planning.In early
2000, the media departments of JWT and O&M merged to form Mindshare
Canada. McIlroy held the executive role of Managing Partner-Director of
Client Business and helped position and launch the new media company. She
also sat on the board of directors for the Broadcast Research Council of

King spent 8
Years at major Canadian Ad agencies (MBS, V&B, FCB) in senior media
positions before becoming an out-of-home salesperson for Mediacom where she
earned "Salesperson of the Year" for an unprecedented two years
running. Her 8-year tenure at Mediacom included the servicing of numerous
Canadian clients and agencies as well as growing a significant USA territory.
Missing the excitement of agency life, she returned to broadcast buying and
was most recently Group Media Director, Buying, at J. Walter Thompson and
